Default Piece of **** Durango. 1999 Dodge Durango 4x4 magnum

Back again with stupid questions, only have two photos right now. Which I’ll add. But the run down, bought a 99 Durango (after I bought my daily 2000 Durango and still running her 12 years later) bought it for the tires and whatever I could scavenge off her. My mom sold her house in December so naturally I had to get this thing on a trailer. A winch and a tow truck later we had her settled on it with no clear plan to get it off. When I got the truck the guy told me that he daughter popped the “loop and pinion” took me a minute to figure out that he meant the ring and pinion in the rear differential. She did a hell of a lot more than that, she locked the back axel, dropped the drive shaft, and spit pieces out of the transmission. I feel bad for this truck. So, I cracked open the rear differential. And dear god. She spit multiple teeth, rear won’t spin at all, and she’s got a chunk stuck in the gears at the back. She’s still locked on the trailer, chains and all and my dumb *** is army crawling under her to get all this done. Anyone got a good method for getting said chunk of metal out from between the gears that you can’t see? I just need the wheels to rotate to get it off the trailer.

send help so I don’t have any madder of a grandpa that I’ve had his trailer for 5 months. 🤣🤣

Loosen the caps on the diff carrier, let it back itself out a bit, and you might be able to get it to roll. otherwise, I suspect you will have to pull the axles, and completely remove the carrier.....
