Default Really weird CTM computer quirk?

I bought my 2001 Durango R/T new. Maybe 8 yrs ago I swapped out the CTM (forgot why, some problem) and it's been working fine since, until now.

If the Durango has been sitting for a few hours or more, when I turn the key to ON, the wipers make one pass up/down and park. If I turn the key to ON sooner, like 30 mins after stopping somewhere, it does not do it. I'm thinking some capacitor is slowly draining or something. Any other ideas?

It's been 2 months and no one has any idea of whats wrong, me neither. It turned out my battery died last week, had 6v when trying to crank, which it didn't. With a new battery, it starts really quickly, AND... the wiper problem has not happened since!

Ok, so the quirky electronics continues. The battery didn't fix the wiper hiccups, just did for a couple days. I figured it was either the CTM or the wiper motor's park switch. I swapped out the CTM (eBay, used) back in 2016 because the VTSS wasn't working, but I kept the old CTM. Yesterday I swapped in the old CTM to see if it would fix the wiper prob, to at least tell me which end of the wiper park circuit was bad. So far with the old CTM, the wiper is fine, so it looks like the CTM is the problem. The really odd thing is, the VTSS on the old CTM that was on a shelf for 9 years is also now working! I'll have to give the wiper problem a few days to be sure it's fixed.

Came accross this TSB helping another guy with heated seats, it also applied to 2000MY Durango's, might be relevant to 2001 also. If you are using any higher power radio devices in your vehicle anyway

Thanks, but my CTM model num isn't in that docs list, don't think thats my problem. I tried to disable the new CTMs auto door lock (on/off 4 times, then click master door lock switch), but don't get the confirmation beep, and the doors still lock at 15 mph. I'm thinking of removing the CTM access panel, and taking both CTMs to a dealer. I was thinking just paying an hour labor for a tech with a DRB3 to re-pgm both CTMs for me, do one then swap in the other and do it too. I downloaded the DRB3 user manual, hopefully can first understand what it's capable of checking.
