They require modification to the fuel rail now??

i just looked at the page, looks like they don't come with the bracket anymore to run the stock rail anymore... I got in on the earlier waves and didn't need to modify mine. I guess I got lucky before the budget cuts hit 😆

It was my understanding that the rails were closer together, and at a different angle, so the cross-feed hose needed to be swapped out...... No personal experience with 'em though.

I replaced the TB gasket yesterday and seems a little better but now I have a new belt chirping happening now... Didn't do it before the repair. I do notice that the belt tensioner is moving side to side and not sure it's that's normal. it could be weak or I could be dealing with a bearing starting to fail on one of the pulleys is what I am thinking. Just having it all off may have been the last straw I guess

Pull the belt, and check the pulleys by hand. Also, make sure they are clean. Dirt in the grooves will give ya a squeak too.

ok will do, I have a new tensioner coming tomorrow anyways. The one on there is original so it can't hurt. I'll report back

Seems silly to suggest, as you may have already considered.... but have you looked at the gasoline in the tank? It's not uncommon for crap gas to cause a misfire, and engine knock is common from it. Especially since you just did some repairs, it would easily be more noticeable now. You might consider just dumping a can of octane boost and see if it helps any.

Some people do choose to use cheap gas and this can induce water/moisture into the tank. I've always avoided Shell because of this issue in my area, it's bad....

I have a Chevron across the street which I've never had a problem with but you never know. I thought it was a vacuum leak but I've checked and found nothing so far... I should also pull the spark plugs as they've had 30,000 kms on them now according to the PO's records.
