Question 2000 Durango 4.7L - upper front bumper replacement

Hello - I have a 2000 Durango 4.7L in which the upper front bumper is rusted and corroded out. Quick question - is there a way to remove the rusted out upper part of the bumper without removing the entire bumper itself?

Probably not..... I would fully expect that the lower part bolts TO the upper part.....

I would be rather inclined to do something to prevent that happening again, to the replacement bumper..... POR15, or Chassis saver paint on the interior surfaces would be a good idea.

Agreed. You can separate them but the plastic bottom valance is mounted to the rusted out bumper metal. It won't mount back without it. They do sell them on ebay....

Thanks....I do have a replacement new upper bumper ready to go. Sounds like I need to remove both together to put on the new upper bumper.
