Depends on what you want really, and how much money you are willing to spend. The difference in the rotors are simple. The slotted and drilled rotors dissipate heat, the solid stock ones don't. Which in turn wears down your brakes faster.

I also like to know if you change the rotors, can you upgrade to a bigger rotor without having to change anything else? I feel the Durangos have alot of fade on the front and the ABS keeps kicking in on teh back when you have to apply the brakes pretty hard. I was never able to get the front brakes to really grab to stop the vehicle. I thought maybe changing out to slotted or drilled bigger rotors with matching performance brake pads may provide better stopping power. I am hitting 69k miles on my 2000 R/T and still using OEM rotors like to upgrade to bigger better rotors when the time comes to change out the rotors.

if you go crossdrilled or slotted with good pads it will help but you should also upgrade to stainless brake line ,,,no you cannot just add bigger rotor without a kit

I agree with you on the bigger rotors. But please explain why do you would have to upgrade to a stainless brake line for the better pads and rotors. It is for looks and better abrasion properties. But it dose nothing for street performance. It you go off road a lot than yes, or lift your truck yes.

Going with Cross Drilled rotors and good pads will help stopping distance and help against warpage.

you need to put on stainless brake lines because the factory ones will expand when you hit the brakes and you lose stoping power going to the brakes

I agree, one of the major benefits of steel lines are that they do not expand. This makes your brakes react quicker and all the pressure goes into the pads not the lines. I work on races cars and that is exactly why steel lines are used.
