New here, couple of questions
Hi, Everyone, I'm new here, and I'm trying to find out a few things for my 2002 Dodge Durango SLT.
Firstly, the four main stereo speakers (the ones in the bottoms of the front and rear doors) rattle and buzz when playing - much like the sound of blown speakers. Can anyone tell me how I get the trim off the bottom of the doors so I can have a look?
Secondly, I have A/C issues. I have front and rear A/C, and the front one does not get very cool at all. And in the rear, there is virtually no air flow, even though it sounds like a wind tunnel with the fan on full blast. With cool air temperature, I have had the gas checked and it's right up there, also, I can feel the gas delivery pipes from the compressor, and they are nice and cool, which leads me to believe it's a condenser issue - how easy is it to clean the pipes for a better heat transfer? I live in the middle east, and it's very dusty and sandy in the desert! With the rear air flow problem I have no idea where to start.
I look forward to happier motoring once these issue are sorted.
Cheers,
Ed

RE: New here, couple of questions
Hi,
I'm highly sympathetic to your plight...I live in Riyadh so I know the story on 50+ deg heat and the Durango A/C.
It doesn't seem to be a strong point of the vehicle - check the replies to my recent post...
The vehicle is in the garage at the moment due to overheating problems...apparently due to a leaking water pump - and just after a service as well...
I've asked them to check the A/C at the same time - and they say its ok - however I'm off to see them first thing tomorrow.
I want to make sure that all the service updates, that have been attached to the reply to my post, have been performed - especially the bit about warm air from the vents when the vehicle is stationary. I'll have that kit on in a flash if its not there...
The rear A/C (on the ceiling) seems ok in my vehicle, in fact I switch it on to boost the front A/C airflow when I first start up. The fan gives strong airflow and the temparature is lower than the front vents...
Good luck...Chris
