Electrical / Fuse ???? issue
I have a 2000 Durango SLT. I have the following situation and it happened in the following order.
All of the below only happens when it is cold (below -35 or so) and the truck has not been running for a while.
1st - Auto door remotes did not unlock the truck but turned the radio on. Trip to dealer - they had no idea but it stopped.
2nd - the next cold morning the remote did not work had to open the truck manual - the radio did not go on this time by the remote but the defrost kept going on and off as well as the interior lights would dim and go off with the defrost. (sounded like a short of some sort). Trip to dealer - could not repeat the problem.
3rd - the next cold morn now got worse same prob as #2 but now the check engine light went on. Trip to dealer - results could not duplicate and check engine results - "Relay inturupts". They asked if I unpluged the bat or messed with the fuse box. I did not.
All times to the dealer the truck was dropped the night before so it would be cold so they could check.
The last time to the dealer they "could not duplicate" the problem but when I picked it up (late at night) it happened again as it must have sat for a while. The check engine light was back on. However the only one I could show at that hour was the poor man who "brings the cars to the front". Yes, I think I know I need a new dealer but have paid quite a bit in diag's, remotes and so on to solve this problem with them. I am really at the end of my rope on this... I love my truck but....sorry for the long winded read but I am lost... any idea's???
