got a suprise when i jacked up the front end n took off the drivers side tire....top caliper bolt was stripped out and the previous owner had JB welded it into place. it had worked its way loose and was jumping around hence my grinding/groaning noise....getting it fixed tommorrow morn...thanks for all the help.

U can goto napa an get replacement bolts that are self-tapping. They are about 20 bucks a pop but are AWESOME! if u strip out the hole, i replaced my calipers an rotors not too long ago an accidently crossthreaded one an stripped it out, looked all over town an actually came across em. Saved my *** lol

got it fixed this morn. drilled it out. retapped n slid in a heli-coil..got the caliper nice n normal looking the way it should be...no more noise....went home n got ready for work...got to work n went to back into my stall and it started making the groaning noise again...cant explain how mad i was....gonna go onto the lift again n see whats doin it.......again.

Ever figure this out? I have a similar problem which seems if I hold the brakes on REAL hard it will stop for a second then start again.
