I HAVE A 01 DURANGO THAT KEEPS STALLING AT VERY LOW RPM'S. LIKE WHEN YOU ARE JUST ABOUT STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN OR BACKING INTO A PARKING SPOT. I HAVE ALREADY CLEANED THE THROTTLE BODY AND PURCHASED A NEW IAC SOLENOID. I AM NOT GETTING A LIGHT ON THE DASH IVE HAD A VOLT METER ON THE TPS AND IT SEEMS TO BE GETTING THE PROPER VOLTAGE UP AND DOWN THE RPM RANGE I AM AT A LOSS PLEASE HELP.

RE: 01 durango stalling
You can have a malfunctioning throttle position sensor and it will not throw a code. This has happen to me. My engine will surge periodically especially with cruise control set. I fought with the dealer for almost 2 months and they still cannot find the problem but they cannot feel the power surge either when they test drive it. So I just went out and replaced the TPS based from the users in this forum's recommendations. I no longer have any surging or idling issues.

Other than that, don't get alot of sand thrown into the radiator! haha, can't be helped I guess if you play too hard!
You may want to lower the psi on the tires so it will have more traction in the sand and will help your engine from working too hard. High PSI's makes your regular tires too hard and they will act like knifes and will just slice into the sand and cause your D to sink into it and then your engine will work overtime to push the D thru the sand. I usually lower my tires down to 10 psi. Of course, you better have a portable air pump to pump up your tires to normal psi before you leave the beach.
