i also made my own CAI when i got the RT, and i am working on one for the truck now..but i cant find a 3.5" 90 degree elbow, and 3.5" piping...right now, i have an ebay CAI which puts the filter out against the RF fender...but i want to make the bend and put it next to the rad...(94 5.9L Ram for those who dont know)..ive just had NO luck finding the elbow and a few feet of piping.

i tried that...the only elbows that they had were 3 or 4 inch...they had "Adjustable" 90s degree elbows, but they were really flimsy, and were very hard to work with...my next move is to check a diesel performance place...those guys run huge intakes, so 3.5 should be no problem.

I'm really surprised you would think they offered something more I mean it is the home depot they are massive. You would think you could at least do a special order or something???

ive asked at a few home depots, and lowes...i KNOW that they make them..ive seen them online, but they were at bulk places...i dont need 50 of them...

i was glad when i got the little short ram setup and saw that it was a 3.5", as thats more air moving through there...but now i cant find the bend and more piping unless i buy 50 bends and 20 feet of piping..

It wouldn't be a problem if you started making custom CAI setups for us DF'ers. You might make some $ off it. LOL!

Damnit how'd you do that? The photobucket account supposedly put the img tags for me but it didn't work...
*EDIT*
Ok guys i got some really nasty heavy rain today and was driving on the freeway with a lot of traffic I just thought I should say make your intake able to be disconnected. I never died but with all the spray from the other cars my filter got a little wet and I could feel it in the throttle. Not a big deal but I imagine the filter could start falling apart after being exposed to this many times. If you are not driving at high speeds it won't matter just when you get that mist everywhere.
