OK my 12v(i think that is right) power out let (rear and front) do not work.. they are not getting any power.. they worked great when I first boght the car back in March but after about a month they were no longer getting power.. so at first I thought I blown a fuse.. so I went to the diagram and checked the fuses in the car and they were all good but I found out those oulets were in the fuse box in the eng.. so I went in and checked that and it was said to be on the same fuse as the towing lights and stuff were.. so I checked that fuse and it was fine..
When I hooked up the boat all the ligths and every thing was working for the that part but the power outlet is not working... My brother thinks it might be the wire some where but it makes me think why was it working fine then for no aparent reason stop working bolth up front and in back.. I have searched a lot of the forums but couldn't find anything like this.. is this something I need to get checked out by the dealer or do you any of you have any sugestions... thanks for the coments.....

ps .. hydra I looked a old post where a durango hit 70 mph and was at 2000 RMP.. and you took pics of your d and you were over 2000.. well I checked it the other day three or for times on diffrent days and I hit 70 ether right on 2000 or a shade under( just for something more to add).. Guess what Jp me too... IT SUCKS! I have the lighter and the power adapter in the front the lighter socket works but the other one doesn't as well as the back. Mine went out after Strauss discount auto sold me a faulty lighter plug that you can wire up to anything you want. Strauss denied it was their faulty product so I have no outlets.except for the lighter and that's currently occupied by Sirius...

I saw it last night.. but any takes what I can do about the problem I am having or am I going to have to shell out the money and get it check at the dealer.. thanks JP

 

No problem. I've gone through 3 Tranys in 10K and I don't recall when we were talking about that issue.

 

3 tranys that nuts..... any ways still on the subject any one know what I can do to test or should I just take it to the dealer and pay those money hungry poeple to see if they know what the problem is... thanks ... JP [sm=angrymail.gif]

 

Jpondo5.9, What is it your plugging into your 12v assessory outlets? Phone charger? Have you tried it in another vehicle to make sure its not the assessory thats the problem. I have seen phone charger 12v adaptors go bad and not work, and the 12v outlet tested fine. If you have a test light, check your power and ground in the outlet..

 

and way ahead of you with the test light... I first thought it was my car charger for my cell phone and my pda but I used it in the cigeret charger place and they worked fine there... so I had a low voltege tester my bro had and it showed it was getting no power at all .. from front or back.. thats why its trippen me out because it seems strange to me. I know it is not the fuse.. so what could it be the wireing?? I am still kinda wondering whats up..
