I've seen dyno results on different vehicles with them and they almost all showed a power increase. How much is hard to say, but I've never heard of anyone who said they honestly felt a "kick in the pants" difference with one. I have one on my SRT-4 and it gets about 5 more ponies with it.......not as much as a CAI, but nowhere near as expensive, either.
Just be careful not to over-oil it after you clean it...........

I have a drop in K&N and do not really notice any difference. My MPG are the same, but it does seem to breathe better. I noticed it as soon as I started it up, like it idled smoother. I just like knowing that I never have to buy another air filter. My next project is to make my own CAI, getting rid of the airhat. That, along with the K&N, should help out. My opinion is that it is worth the investment to buy the K&N.
Yup, putting that K&N supplied decal on the air filter cover keeps all the oil change folks from trying to sell you an air filter at double the normal retail cost!!!!

I replaced my paper filter for a drop in K&N on my 5.9. I definitely can tell that the engine is breathing alot better. My MPG's improved about 1 mpg, anything is better than nothing. Been using it for the better 40k miles now.
I've used them in the past and always had good results. gained about 1 mpg in the dakota I had one in. My wifes Dak also had one. worth it in my opinion. would prefer a cold air setup though... it is the better way to go.
