squelling noise

New problem in my 2000 5.9liter durango. Loud squelling noise. loose belt put on new belt did not help. Going to put on new belt tensioner today. Anyone else having this problem?

could be your alternator going out. they squeal real loud. Is it a constant squeal?

Problem solved new belt tensioner did the trick.

When Belt Tensioner's go out and they can make a lot of noise. Glad to see you got the problem fixed.
