Seems like you have air in your system somewhere as pumping the brakes appears to be compressing the air (or expanding something flexible) then when you release the pressure it pushes the fluid back into the MC... when were the flexible brake lines replaced or checked ? (I didn't read the entire thread so disregard if you already checked this )
