Default D for a Vette

Alright guys so I guy at work may want to trade me rides.
My, 2000 SLT 5.9L 130,000 for his 93 C4 Corvette, hard-top, new motor, 7 speed.
Pros and Cons of this trade?

I personally would not do it, I've never been a fan of the C4 body style. I only liked the C2, and the new C6's.

His vette would absolutely destroy your D off the line, any day of the week, as long as theres no snow out there. Not much space for luggage or passengers in a vette, but it would make one bitchin pavement pounder with that new motor and 7-speed (HOLY ****)

You'll be trading one style for another, your personality has to fit the car. Mine however does not say Vette

Deerang is right about personality fitting the vehicle. Weigh all the parameters, space, passenger capacity, ability to use. The Durango is all season, multi passenger capable. Although the Vette is nice, and a head turner, there is more to it than that. I am a airliner personality, some people are fighters, just go with what you are comfortable. Sounds like Deerang is another airliner personality, what type are you??

Well I dont mind everyone riding with me. But then I end up the DD they always mess in truck up. I would have to say I'm a fighter mainly because thats all I've ever wanted to do my whole life is fly fighters. Plus I used to own a 95 Camaro so I like my fast cars.

I'd trade my D for a Vette if I lived somewhere where I didn't have to worry about ice/snow for 5 months out of the year. Especially if the Vette just got a new motor.

Come to find out from a vette forum the 7 speed isnt that rare. Its 4 gears but 1,2 and 3 have OD. Yeh I suppose if I can I'll do it. I'll get pulled over move thats for sure.

I'd say check the KBB values. If the 'Vette is greater than the D, swap 'em I say!
