Default Anyone try out these mods????

I heard that by pressing the key forward just a tad while running that you can disable the speedo..

There is a way to disable torque management on the PCM by hooking up a toggle switch to it.

Has anyone else heard of these? I did try the speedo trick and it worked! No speed limiter as long as you hold the key slightly forward. I also got my awd Durango to light up the 4 tires on a launch which was damm near impossible before. Anyone else hear or try any "free" mods without blowing the thing up? Yes, I am a mod freak. cant help it, you should see the other car....

You have to hold the key forward the whole time you are racing though?

If you turn it just a tad, the starter doesnt grind at all. I was holding my breath when I tried it and it worked. A buddy told me about how they did it on his Hemi Ram to try to top it out and had me curious so....

You were ABLE TO LIGHT UP ALL 4 TIRES ON LAUNCH using this trick????? I have a 00 R/T and unfortunately, with AWD. Missed the Rear Wheel Drive burnouts!

One thing I don't understand. How were you able to turn the key and maintain it in just the correct spot while racing???? Especially if torque management did not exist! I would want to try this trick and see if I can light up my 4 tires, but I treat and take care of my Durango like it was a part of me and fear of messing up my R/T if I screw up. But I still would love to have the ability to smoke 4 tires! How many times do you see anyone able to do that? I would bet steering would be a serious problem to maintain a straight line when launching.

A buddy turned his key forward to see how fast he could get his Ram to go on an open stretch without the limiter. He said he had to hold it the entire time. I tried just to see if it worked, which it did and I quickly let go! I had no intentions of running around like that but I had to try ti out.

None of those helped me light up the tires on a launch btw. That was just a side event that took palce while messing around with stall rpms. I did hear that the torque management can be turned off and it would allow the tranny to run full blast. The stock pcm doesnt pull timing under torque managment unlike most vehicles, instead it actually slows the transmission down for softer shifts. I jsut happened to get mine to light em up by pure accident I think, either way still cool to hear the 4 tires squeeling! Not sure the wife liked it though so I have to stick to messing around with my car and not hers

Do you have the steps involved in disabling torque management using a switch? Or a link that talks about it?

My buddy did it on his Ram but I am not sure about the Durango so thats what I am looking for. I dont think there will be too many performance mods directed towards this truck even though its fun as hell to drive
