no and no..

The way i see it, you have limited selection to go by.
Generally the belltech is the same as 90% of the rest of the shackle manufacturers (search chevy drop shackle on ebay and look at all the similarites). Ive yet to see a 6400 shackle break though. If your really really constipated over any of the shackles AAL would be your best bet..

You could always go
-With a two plate shackle 1/2" thick
-Terraflex/ revolver shackles
-Have the shackle mount dropped
-sell the rango for a P/U
-etc etc

Man you guys are smart. another question. do you think the new shackles will mess up my air ride? like mess with the air lines or anything?

I just did a T/B crank and installed a add a leaf in the rear. I got just a little over 2" of lift on my 2000 D and the 33's on it clear with no problem. Looks great!!! has a nice stance. No it just needs a bull bar for the front.

What was the brand and raiting of the add a leaf, and if we raise the truck2" do we need longer shocks? My Durango is also my truck for work and i will usually have about 500 lbs of tools in it

If the air ride was timmed with minimum slack you may have an issue, but that would just require taking the slack out of the line further up or adding a longer section.

I hear ya on the added weight, esp when i used to weigh in close to 7500lbs.. If your shocks overextend with any of the lifts a longer shock wouldnt hurt, some people have been fine with stockers. If going to a longer shock its absolutely a no no if they are too long and bottom out.

CABMKR, I used a BDS Add a leaf Model #119159 I got them for $60 from Mumblys Off Road here in Michigan. I have Stock replacement shocks on the D right now but will be going with a little bit longer one when I do the Body lift on in in a few months. It is not that bad of a ride with the T-Bars cranked and the add a leaf in it. I kinda like how it rides now compared to how my Ram 1500 did with a add a leaf (VERY HARD RIDE).

Next will be replacing the Sway Bars, getting a bull bar and doing a body lift. New tires coming next month compliments of the State of Michigan!!

Wheres the best or easy place to jack the rear end up for puttin the new shackles on?

For that instance you'll need a set of high jack stands to properly lift onto the frame infront of the rear wheels. Make sure everything is blocked/safe so the vehicle cannot roll. You cannot jack from the hitch because that must be removed to remove/install shackles. The jack stands need to be high/secure due to you having to unload the weight off of the rear suspension.

Just put the new shackles on they look good. but gettin them on are a pain in the but with flow masters and a hitch. takes alot longer than needed.
