Okay heres the problem Im having. Im bought a use 95 interpid about a month ago. I was heading to work today, and right before I turned into work the car dies without any fuel sputter or anything. I had power to everything inside the car but the engine just shut off. So I coasted it into the parking lot and tryed to turn it back over. The car cranks great without any start. I checked all the fuses and relays which are all good. Im used to working on old hotrods so the new fuel injected cars are fairly german to me. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction to get her running again.

I"ll bet you its a crank sensor. Can you tow the car up to an auto parts store to have them run the codes? You can run the codes by your self if you know how to read the check engine light.

Unfortunately the check engine light doesnt come on. I may have a funny feeling that the light has been disconnected as I tryed the key trick without the check engine light coming on at all. The crank sensor you talked about is the one connected to the bellhousing correct?
I have the 3.5L in this one and the only thing odd about the car before this all happened was the idle RPMs seemed a bit low, around 550 at idle.

Smack the top of the dash with the key turned foward and see if it flickers. My cruse light does the exact same thing.

The light should come on when you put the key in and put it to run (not start-crank) as a light test. If not, you may need to change the bulb.

As for the no start, even if the light is out, scan for codes with an OBD II tool. Let me know what you find.

PS You can unplug the MAP and see if it will start. If so, it can be driven (not too heavy on the gas though) to the store.

I actually talked to the deal who sold me the car and he agreed to fix it for free since the light had been disconnected. Come to find out, the water pump locked up, causing the timing belt to get so hot that it broke. He replaced the timing belt, water pump and plugs. They did a compression check on all cylinders to make sure that nothing got screwed up and all is good and car is back on the road.

Sure, my mistake (quick post/read & missed the year). Now that everyone knows it is, how about you let us know where the port is (Did you ever find it?? https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...pid-obd-i.html)
