Does anyone know what controls the dash gauges? Mine stop working from time to time.

BCM (body control module). there are functional tests on a quality scan tool that will allow you to activate the gages and warning lights inorder to determine communications are working properly.

You could just need to check the plug in connections in the back of the gauges. They may just be loose. Its not that hard to do and figure out if you never did it before. I would start there first. You could also change any blown bulbs while you are in there.

Also, when the gauges go out again....you could try wiggling the fuse that controls them. Also try wiggling the whole fuse box. May just be a loose wire or not so tight connection. You can also pound(not to hard ) on the top of the dash to see if they come back on. This will help you narrow it down to where the problem is if its a loose connection.

Yep! Tapping or better yet pounding on the top of the dash brings everything back, I guess you know, I dont want to keep doing that. So I will check the connections, have you had this kind of problem before?

No, I never had this problem. But knowing how they are assembled, I can imagine it happening. Glad to share what I know. Let us know how it works out for you.
