where are the spark plugs located in a 96' neon?

In the head. You get to them from up top. Just follow the spark plug wires.

This is my drawing of your valve cover. The "O" is where you would get to your spark plugs. These are the spark plug tubes which have the spark plugs inside. Just pull out the spark plug wires and look inside and you will see the plugs.

would you belive me if i told you that a few years ago a girl called me up and asked why there was 2 wires going to the spark plugs....i thought, hmmm that sound odd so she came over to my house and i checked it out.....ends up she was trying to get the fuel injectors out since she thought those were the spark plugs[&:]
im sure you could imagine what i had to say to her[X(]

the funniest part is that prior to this problem she was in a mechanics class at a vocation school we have out here[&:]

it just shocked me that she was in a mechanics class and couldnt even tell the difference between the spark plugs and the fuel injectors......of course i think she ate alot of lead paint when she was younger....that or it was all the drugs she was doin at the time[&:]

Thnks for the help. I have another question as well. How do I get down to the spark plugs to change them? they are way down in the engine. I pulled out the plugs but I cant get to the spark plugs.
