Default A few Questions about my mtx swap

Ok so I plan on starting my swap on May 12th and hopefully finishin by the middle of the week. I have all the parts already and the new pcm for a manual, but my few questions are:

1. I have to people with trannys that I can get. One is the 3.94 and the other the 3.55. Which one would be better for me to get. They are both the same price and relativly the same mileage, but I am eventually going to turbo my 2.4 so I was wondering which one would be better to get?
2. Are there any things that I can do to the tranny before I put it in the car? I was already planning on getting some of the Booger Bushings and a Mopar sts, but what kind of clutch should I get? Also I was lookin at Vitors Bobble strut. Would that be a good one to get or are there better ones? Thanks

Also I plan on cleaning the tranny up and spray painting it like a silver to give it that good new shiny look. Will any high temp paint work? Thanks

1.) 3.94 for a 2.0L DOHC is best, thats the R/T set up.... 3.55 for the 2.0L SOHC is best... Since you plan on going turbo on the 2.4, I would stick with the 3.55, the turbos respond better to that tranny

2.) Clutch, if you plan on going to the turbo, better get the PT cruiser clutch, they are stronger!

As for paint, I would find the highest temp paint and clearcoat you can get.. The tranny usually doesnt get *that* hot, not like the engine would... so high temp engine paint should work just fine!

Yeah thats what I have heard. That the 3.55's are better for turbo cars. And I have also heard good things about the PT clutch too. Now I just have to find one that is a good price lol

When you attempt the MTX swap, don't forget to ground the neutral/safety switch or the car won't start.

the manual tranny swap is fairly easy if you have the time.....deffinately go with the 3.55 tranny for a turbo....
i plan on possibly swapping my work car to an atx here pretty soon....unless i just buy another neon

you can also hook that neutral safety switch wireto the clutch switch and ground the other end so it only starts with the clutch in

Ok so I can get the clutch on ebay for like 275 shipped. Does anyone know where I can get a cheaper one and also does any one have the pedal assembly with all the sensors? Thanks
