but my sisters neon isa SOHC and its only 12 valves and mine is a 16 valve
so do i have the DOHC or not???

i was told if i have a certain letter in my title then i have a SOHC which in my title i have

 

sohc and dohc are both 16 valve,,from what i know????can u post a pic of ur motor,,if not,,do u have an aluminum intake or plastic 1,,dohc r aluminum and sohc are plastic,,???

and ive heard from everyone that the Sports editions has the DOHC

and like i said my sisters car says "12 valve SOHC"
and my just say "2.0L 16 valve" so not all are 16 valve

the cold air intake is aluminum but thats aftermarket as you know.

 

ALL neons are 16valve....there is a typo if it says 12

There are plastic and aluminum SOHC intake manifolds

 

that i know,,but the plastic are more common to the Sohc,,!!

ive never heard of a 12 valve on a four banger 'logically' it could only be 8v or 16v and all neonsare 16v
