Default RE: alternator bolt spinning in place?

Well...the backside of the bottom alternator bolt came with a weird looking nut from the factory.I think it was supposed to stay in place somehow the whole time, so all you have to do is turn the bolt to tighten.I would recomend using a lock nut in place of that. The factory nut seems to break loose over time. Also make sure to check for slop in the bottom alternator bolt hole. I had the alternator bracket wear oblong from wear, causing alternator to move while running...caused all kinds of problems.check the bolt for wear also.Thats all I can think of..Im too tired..good luck..
