Well not quite, but 2500 to 3 grand everytime I start it. It doesn't stay there long but kind of annoying.

I have cleaned the TB and IAC out, that helped with the stalling awhile back. Could bad O2 sensors be doing this? Or dirty intake, after the TB?

 

My car does it too, i thought it was normal.

 

i'm pretty sure it just shoots up then comes down because in every car i've been in it's done it


are you saying that it stays there for like...5 seconds?

 

check your tps

 

our Auto. Neon does that. my 5-speed goes up to like 2k and then drops.

 

all mine have gone to 2500 or so on startup. just for a sec then they taper down to normal idle.

 

yeah same here. my ram and my dakota do the same thing too. i thought it was just a part of starting...

 

A friends neon started and never went over a grand, I just compared mine to his. But, it sounds as though his was the acting up one lol

like it just shoots to a grand and stays there


but most of the time it flies, hahaha

 

ive noticed the 98+ dont rev hardly at all on startup, 95's are the worst about it ( small PCM)
