pacesetter header install

Default pacesetter header install

got a pacesetter header today and of course, they put instructions for a 5.2 V8 in with it instead of the neon instructions...anyone know exactly where i need to cut?

you have to cut the stock exhaust flange that connects to the stock header off and weld one that comes with the header on in order to make up for the bigger length of the pacesetter

DOHC or SOHC? if its DOHC you will have to remove the alternator and brakcet. remover head. and cat.
Cut the cat on the front side if i remember corectly 1 3/8ths of an inch from the weld on the cat and put the clamp on there and rebolt everything back up. then take it to the muffler shop and have them weld it there then take the clamp off

oh! well tahts good to know becuase i've never heard anyone having to cut it to fit unless it was mid/long header

the pacesetter is a midlegnth at least i think. I just got one and had to cut the cat i dont know if SOHC are diffrent though

i'm pretty sure the SOHC just bolts on...
but if i'm wrong please tell me because i'll probably be getting a pacesetter header over the summer
