Default Timing belt cover

When I put my engine back together... Do I really need the timing belt cover... I think it looks better without it??

it protects all of your belts

so if you really want the chance of something flying up and ripping a belt and bending a valve then go ahead

Port & Polish Intake: this mod, allows more air to flow into the head. i recommend a hand porting service over Extrude Hone. EH only smoothes the inside, while hand porting will massage the ports and shape them for optimum airflow. for even more power, cut the 90º elbow off the intake. Howell Auto just does DOHC manifolds, while Blackdog has a special manifold for the SOHC.

just a thought cause you were talking about getting the extrude Hone intake

it might just be me, but was the post above me intended for a different thread?

and yes, leave the cover on. all i can think of is something getting lodged between the cam gears and finding its way in between a cam gear and the belt, annihilating both. maybe if you are parked and want to take it off for show?

Is there a way that I can cut the outer cover above the crank pully and make it removable so that I can take it on and off ...
