Default bearing oil clearance????

so i was checking the oil clearance in my main bearing today with a plast-gage when i was attempting to install the crank in my block....
well im not to good with this kinda technical stuff so,
the haynes manual says the allowable clearance is 0.008 - 0.0024
well the plasti-gage shows my clearance is about .025 - .038
so
is this o.k. or do i need to get different bearings?????

if its bigger then it also leaves you a better chance of spinning a bearing
i just dont know if i need thicker bearings or not

.003" on evrything is a good place to be with a high volume oil pump.

yeah well when i read the gauge it was at .035 - .038....well that was in MM
so it is actually .001 - .0015 INCHES
and if the allowable clearance is .008 - .0024 then i should be good to go..
and, i dont know if the oil pump would be a high volume or not......i just ordered it from modern performance since my stock oil pump was pretty clogged up with metal shavings from my old bearings[&:]

1 thousandths is really tight, wow.
my motor is .003 on evrything, but its built for racing so it makes it rattly when its cold.
