ok... my car will start with the old push and pop the clutch method so i know i either have a bad starter or starter relay.... when i go to start the car it clicks one time and does nothing.... i have tried to hold the key on and it still only clicks one time... does it sound like the relay or the actual starter is bad? thanks

 

Check the relay by swapping it with the horn relay. If your horn honks, then your relay is good. Check the connections to the starter. Could ba a bad ground or corroded wire.

 

ok, just checked the relay and its fine.... i guess ill check my grounds and everything.... but if everything is connected properly its def the starter right???

 

Most likely. But check all the wires. When I bought the ACR, there was a corroded wire that kept it from starting. Replaced it and it fired right up.

 

Don't forget about your igniton switch itself, mine will allow the car to run, but it won't go into accesory mode or engage the starter. (found that after couple hours of elimination under the hood).

Have a push botton start for now lol
