Hi there I owen a 99 stratus 2.4l with auto transmission and I wanna swap it into a 5 speed manual tranny. Can someone tell me what are the exactly tranny I need for that and allthe parts I need for the swap?
I have in mind to go to a junkyard and pull a 5 speed manual tranny from a stratus 2.0l sohc and computer, would the bell housing bolts be the same sizes? Thank you

 

ok, well i decided i want to save up for the dodge dart instead of the srt 4 and i also replaced my own valve cover gasket so now my check engine lights off and now i DONT need a new converter, here the problem.... i already ordered a exhaust and long tube header...

I am wondering if in the future (end of the coming year) if i find a 2.4l DOHC engine can i use the same header and exhaust that im buying now... i have a 2001 neon

 

I have seen this question before. If you look an you 2001 sohc head and a dohc 2.4L head (any year), you would see the bolt pattern is very different. The dohc exhaust ports are much larger than the sohc head.

 

Computer would need a custom tune. See Syked pcm tune for help. You will also need this

am honored enough to be given a 97 neon from a friend that was tragically killed in his 03 str4 neon. he was only 19. miss m dearly, his family decided to give me the car.so i dont have much info or history on it. but was looking for parts, and found out it has the 2.4l swap non turbo. o dear, i need help. needs oil pan,all exhaust, fuel filler neck, possible rack n pinion. what is the best way to order parts? thanks in advance! this was his project car so it sat a good bit and never got to work on it.

 

So i got a 2.4 out of 01 pt cruiser. to put in my 98 neon. ive done this swap before and noticed the side engine mount bracket in the passenger side by the timing cover is different. i know they make the adapter for the stratus but not see anything about the pt cruiser 2.4. so can anyone guide me on what mount bracket to use or what would work
