on a side note - have you had any experience on the 3.20 Tranny and if so do you have any leads on any?
Is there an option or way to convert a 3.55 or 3.94 to 3.20?

There is a Blue Neon that gets me in the Straights with his 3.20 Tranny on certain Tracks!

 

I don't know where you could get a 3.20 tranny nor about converting one.

 

call up dodge see if they have any and i want a 3.20

 

I did call up dodge - I had to call them to figure out the part numbers on the Tranny to find out it is a 3.20
I actually had to call in the Car VIN Number and was then able pull the window sticker info to find out I was racing against - Only to find out it is anretired World Challenge Car - it shows it to be a Performance WC 3.20 FD Trans.

It is very Nice - I have video of us pulling along side of each other in a Straight away and he would pull any where from 2 to 6 car lengths on me.

Of course the other factor is I am running the Economy Tranny - Not knowing when I went to the Junk Yard to replace mine that there are 2 different Trannys on the DOHC Neons

I am in the process of having my orginal tranny rebuilt - but it won't be ready for a little while

He is about to put the whole car up for sale later this year - but what would I do with 2 Race Neons

Our 1st Gen Neon are about to become end of life in another year or two - so I too am about to shop around for a new race car.

Its ashame that Dodge does not over anything for Club Racing ShowRoom Stock class. I am going to regret leaving my Dodge for another manufacture in a year or two!

I am already selling my Gen2 ACR on Ebay because of the car reclassifcations. right after when I bought my 01 ACR -SCCA announced reclassifcations - which took over 2 years for them to make up there mind to leave things as they are which made me stall on building up my 01 ACR to race - instead I stuck with my 1st Gen race car for as long as possible.

1st Gen Neon are coming up on End Of Life for SSC - I would have to modit and race in ITA
