I love Neons

i dont see why alot of people hate them people say they are ugly and slow but in fact they are neither one the only thing i dont like about the neon is the headlights

i think people hate them becuz theyve been beaten by them and then one ricer gets all the other ricers going on a forum like this but for imports and it makes them all hate the neon

there just mad that they have to mod the hell out of there car just to compete with a n/a neon

my fiance will be buying a vehicle soon and she might buy my sisters neon for 800 bucks but i dont know if its worth that becuz the power steering went out and im pretty sure she has had alot more problems with it.. but if its just the power steering out is it worth $800

i went to a shop and they are going to charge $200 + the belt to change my timing belt and more if something else needed to be change so im pretty sure im gonna do it myself or find someone that can help or just get it done when i get a job

Tell you the truth when I first saw the neons I hated them could not stand them and i have been a mopar man since birth. My dad and grandpa were both all mopar. Both of their sayings was if you can't dodge it don't get it. But anyway my best friend had one for sell real cheap so I bought it and it grew on me and I LOVE it. I guess I always thought of it as a female's car. Then my best friend stuck the idea of a sleep with a srt 4 swap.

i was 5 when we got our first Neon. i thought it was ugly. plus i thought it had a strange name. then in 96 we got the Neon that became mine and by 98 or so i fell in love with the Neons.

 

i hated all four cylinders back when i was about to get my first car. i was even offered by people to help me build a big block car for when i got my liscence. ( or a big block truck) . but i saw this little blue car for sale that was only 500 buck because it was blown up with a rod out the block. it already had rims, lowered to the extreme and the interior done so i was like owel ill take it. i rebuilt the motor and tranny and fell in love with the car . now i have a couple of them . with so many thousands of dollars into them it isnt funny

 

i have liked neons for a long time and knew that i wanted 1 the first time i drove my step dads....it was about 3 monthes later that i got my 1st one....then the 2nd one was my old r/t..so that made it even better

 

I liked the Neon since playing Grand Turismo 2 when I had to enter the4cylinder class and the coolest, fastesteconomy car for the classwas the Neon. I raced with the SOHC version in the game. It was fun I won 1st place in all events with that car in the game then when I had the chance to buy the same car I loved in the game I took it : )

 

soo is a plymouth neon not sure of the year with the power steering out worth $800

the reason i bought my neon is becuz every time i saw it rolling around town i said i wish that could be my car and three owners later i had the money so i bought it it was in rough shape but i have been restoring since i got it,, no engine problems yet it was just cosmetic with 78,000 miles

 

hey slash how does the glass pack sound on the neon thats my next project is the sound of my beast i found some chrome pipe at the dump so ill be making it dual exhaust asap just gonna start planning it out now, when i cant do anything

 

When i gut my first neon it was hammy down from my older brother and i hated at first b/c i always wanted a mustang well in 04 i finally bought my mustang but after buying my mustang I started to miss my neon and i bought another one for a DD And now i have bought another one for a project car for some reason the neon grew on me.

 

The glass pack sounds sweet, Its got a nice idle not too loud but it rumbles a bit and when you crack it open past 3,000rpms it really sings and sounds like it has ***** and is very crisp sounding not to mention I've gained some high end power, its the total oppisite of a fart can which is why I bought it. I'll see ifI can record my car soon! and upload it for ya, If you have yahoo messenger give me your ID then I'll show you on webcam how it sounds and looks : ) Go for the Cherry bomb brand! It sounds alot like a stockMitsubishi 3000GT v-6 the way it has that rumble at idle andwhen it you hammer it you can be heard up to a half mile away(so my parents say when they hear me come home...lol) It sounds very nice and crisp you can really hear the engine well and it sounds like its breathing the way it needs to.

Between idle to 2500 RPM cops still look the otherway, but after 3,000Rpm when it starts to climb it sounds like a realrace engine. Loud when it needs to be and sounds great while reving.
