no spark....wtf??!!!
so i put the motor in the r/t today.....went to fire it up and found out it isnt getting any spark......
went to check for codes and my laptop wouldnt connect....
so after digging around a bit i noticed the intank fuel pump wasnt working.....so i found out that a part of the wire to it was burnt up by the drivers side door sill....then looked some more and the wire was also fried by the plug for the fuel pump.....well i know the fuel pump fuse under the hood controlls the obdII port, so that was figured out.....
i spliced the wire by the door and the pump....still no power....so i assume its burnt sumwhere else....
tomorrow im gonna run a long jumper wire and see what happens....
but anyways....my question
does anyone know if the fuel pump wire being burnt up would cause the pcm not to work, or would it cause there to be no spark????
im getting pissed and i really want to start the car.....the really sux[:@]

yeah i know...the pcm, obdII port, and pretty much every sensor under the hoos is wired into the fuel pump fuse....but the fuse isnt blown.....
and the wire that i can see thats fried is going to the fuel pump....maybe its messed up sumwhere closer to the fuse....
i guess later today will be a fun rewiering day[&:]

Ouch - that really sux
I know when my exhaust pipe melted the wires going to the fuel pump and it would short out periodically - it would cut off the PCM - I was not able to pull codes at all from my PCM when it was shorted out.
Good luck

did you check the relay under the hood? one time for no reason i blew that relay but not the fuse.
how much of the wire ended up fried? the worst thing ever is to keep peeling back tape to find more burnt wires....
