Default roof fabric

i have a 96 neon with the moonroof, and the fabric on the roof came off so jerry rigged it back up but i was wondering if anyone knew how to put new material on there with like a glue or some other method

what is coming off the headliner orjust the fabricif you want you can go get new fabric if you wantanyways you can fix it by takingthe headlineroff and getingspray onglue and put it back on that way its not to hard but you might rip it so i would go get new fabric.

either way you go..spray glue works the best....i always use some 3m and it always hold up pretty well

thanks, i was looking to put a red fabric in there so, with the light do i just put the fabric up and just trace/then cut the spot of the light out, or is there a way to just remove that light

You can take the light out but becareful when doing so that clear plastic lens has a habbit of breaking for me sometimes.

i just took the whole headliner out. it takes more time but it makes it easier to cut out the neccessary holes for the light, visor mounts, etc and properly place the new headliner down without wrinkles. 3m headliner glue will work good.

and while you got it out you cut out some letters and glue down first (not ot thick) and then put your fabric over it. For example cut out the neon out of something like paneling but twice the thickness or somekind of plastic and you would have raised leeters on your headline

it's a ricer thing or a lowrider thing and you can do some art work with the foam or other stuffand have some cool looking headliners but when you just do letters it looks pretty stupid....it's agood idea but needs alot of work to make look coolor you can take a lot of foam and sand it into a mew style roof those look the best you have to use a hard foam.
