Ok so for the last 4 years I've ran my neon with a regular old header, strait piped back to my cheapo fart can with 5' tip... but now all the cops are stopping me and telling me that any aftermarket exhaust is illegal so CRAP!

Basicly I just wanted to know if anyones got some good suggestions of a free flowing exhaust thats quiet (I know oxy-moron) but seeing as how I will never go back to a stock SOHC or even DOHC muffler I guess I just need to get one that actually quiets the exhaust.

Supposadly I can be heard from about 2-3 miles away when I'm on it but it really dosent seem that bad in the car.

 

a $40 dynomax 2.5" super turbo will shut it up some, have a decent deep tone and they flow good still.

 

Stock DOHC muffler flows nicely as well. Sound is overrated!!!!!

If you have headers and if you install the dynomax muffler it might be loud as well, I recently got pull over and was force to remove the dynomax muffler which I had headers install and go back to stock muffler because the cop said it was too loud.
