Default Mufflers???

i've needed to replace my muffler for awhile now and i'm not sure which kind i should get? I don't want my neon souning like all the honda go karts on the road, but don't want to buy a muffler and take my chances with the sound it makes, what would a glasspack do for my neon(always thought those were best on a V-8)

and why would you want your car to sound like its farting? Glasspack all the way! (mostly because its straight through and cheap!)

I thought taking the cat off takes away back pressure that the Neon Needs?

other thank slash..everyone has said that the glass pack on a 4 cylinder (yes they have tried it on a neon) doesn't sound that great

if you have a SOHC just get a DOHC muffler from the junkyard ($15 and you get basically the same performance out of it as an aftermarket one...and it isn't loud!)

if you want a good aftermarket one for either engine go with a Dynomax muffler

Dynomax is junk in my opinion.Mine had a hole rusted thru it after only one and a half years. If you want something with quality, go with flowmaster.

i dont have a cat but i dont know if im loosing power

if i bought a dynamax then i would sand it to rough then paint it with rust preventative if it rusts through so easaly i would say problem fixed ??

95neonriceeater) You havnt downloaded my recording of my glasspack I take it? It sounds sweet, and you cannot beat the $20 price tag. I'm not saying its gods gift for mufflers but the price and power gainis nice and it doesnt sound too bad. It only sounds like **** if your cat is fkd up but if you have a decent one it sounds good.

Boxer:

Not to be a spelling ***** but when the word "Losing" is spelt "loosing" it reminds me of finger nails on a chalk board I don't care if you spell any other word wrong just please spell this one correct, anything to do with lose or loss has 1 "O". Since you drive aNeon you probably dont have much expirence losing so I'll give you a break : )
