So is Amsoil (ATM) a good oil to use? I see it has a service time of 25,000 miles... if I didnt have to change my oil for 25,000 miles, I would be a happy individual.. and if so, what about using it in a turbo car?

I change my oil every month reguardless of miles.
Thats just crzay and serious overkill. Conventional oil can be changed every 5000 and synthetics even longer...around 7500 to 10,000 miles.

The 3 month/3000 mile oil change is a HUGE myth created by oil companies to sell you more oil!!!!!!!

Yea it prolly is a lil too soon, but I put anywhere between 2000 and 4000 miles a month on it. Alot of it is city stop, and go driving. So just to make sure the engine is kept clean I change it around every month. Its only about 30 bucks a month to change the oil and filter for my car, sometimes a little cheaper if one of the 2 oils I use are on speacial. I figured $350 a year for oil isn't bad considering it could cost alot more for repairs on the engine not keeping it maintained. Plustheenginemight last a lil longer!

Q is a very high parafine oil. If you drive short distances alot never really taking long road trips it will build up alot of sludge in the engine. I have seen as much as 1/2 an inch of sludge on cars that used Q and were only driven short distances on a regular basis.
So me personaly I will never use Q. EVER.

They say that pennzoil bought quaker state, and now all there oils are the same? I dunno, but I've never had any bad luck with quaker state its the best I've ran in my engine so I am going to keep useing it, I dunno about the pennzoil thing could be a rumor but that is what I heard. All oils are parrafin based, but it was believed that quaker state got there crude oil from the pennsylvania field still, but they get 99% of the crude oil from the middle east, the same place all the others get theres from. So it has the same amount of parrafin in it, Besides most of that is removed in the refineing process. So if your getting half inch of sludge from it you'll get that from others? Maybe it was just a nasty engine already like the 3.0 sludge engines?

I have Honda Accord 2003 215000 Km. Been using Castrol Edge for last 3 years. I replace oil every 5000 Km. By 3000 Km I add .3 L of oil. Now I tried QS full synthetic UD and after 3000 Km I had to add .7 L of oil. So based on my experience it does burn more oil. I will not use it again.
