New Timing Belt Gave me extreme low End balls!!!
ORIGINAL: racerx55
i can do it in an hour. that only if evrything comes apart easy and nothing goes wrong & you know them cars inside and out. i wonder if you motor wasnt out of time before, usually you wont gain THAT much from just new belt & pump.

The only thing I can think is the slop in the belt and the extreme play in the water pump bearing. The play in the water pump bearing was about a little more than a1/4 of an inch wobble which I could see adding lag to thetiming. When I squezed both the new belt and the oldbelt together the old belt was3 inches longer.
I'm pretty sure after I took it apart it will be easy to take off next time because I'll know what goes where andhopefully I'll be more organsied
Organisation killed me, I lost so many tools and bolts and it took 15 minutes at a crack to find stuff sometimes.
