Default Just bought a 95 neon

Well i just bought a 95 neon..4 door. I have a few questions and problems.
The guages come on and off..I want to fix this so i can always have guages..What should i do?
I pulled the E-brake and now its stuck on..How do i adjust this?
It has a new headgasket, radiator, fuel fill hose thing, water pump and tires. I am currently undergoing re-painting the whole car. I will post pictures later.
Thanks!

do you have rear disk brakes. you could remove the center console and make sure the the sping in the handle is not jammed

rear ebrake adjustment is one of the most basic things any car owner should learn. in order the get the ebrake unstuck you are going to have to loosen the adjustments, so you can get the drums off and replace the cable if need be.

put rear of car on jackstands.
do not take off the wheels
locate the drum.
remove the rubber plug on the back
put in a flatblade screwdriver or brake tool into the hole and loosen the adjustment spindle till the wheel spins with just a little drag.

by the way if your ebrake is getting stuck its prolly due to lack of maintenence. so a good going over your brakes is a good idea.

Alright..still working on painting it. I started it up the other day and it didnt start. Just clicked. Figured it was just the battery..So i swapped a battery from my DD and it turned over. I relized that it was almost out of gas so i put some gas in it. Well then i went to start it up again and just click.
What is my problem? The headlights are dimming when i turn the key
thanks

Did you drive it with the new battery? How many times did you turn it over? I know mine killed the battery, so I put a new one in it, then the next day it was dead again. I took it to advance and they said the alternator was charging, so I checked all the lights. Sure enough, with the trunk closed, I opened the back seat and the trunk light was staying on. I just un-plugged it, but there is a little switch that is just a piece of metal that is in the latch that was bent and it stayed in the on position.

Nope..never drove it with the new battery
Rolled over like 3 times..not even 10seconds..im 100% sure its not the battery..After i was done i put it in the car it came out of and it started right up.
