Default tire dis/mounting.

anyone know if its something u can do at home? i just picked up my "new" rims but two of the tires are completely bald and the others are about there. and i called several places and they all said it would cost about $150-$175 to dismount and mount and balance the tires (i want to take the tires off my green Neons rims and put them on the new ones). but yet if i spend that much money just to have them mounted and what not. its not worth it to me since come Spring i'll be spending 200+ on new tires anyways (aka dont have the money to buy them now, plus i have 4 almost brand new tires in my garage anyways)

out here it costs $6 to mount and $7 to balance.....
you can dothe mounting/dismountingat home, but its alot of work....i used to do it all the time.....all you need is 2 big prybars and an old style bumper jack to break the bead....
if you lived closer then you could just bring them over since i have a tire mounting machine in my garage...i just got done a bit ago mounting/dismounting about 10 tires
next on my list of stuff to get is a tire balancer...but i have to come up with about $1500 first[&:]
