Is there actually any HP improvement with just replacing the stock air filter with a k&n?

RE: Air filter
the aem one is a warm air intake
it's just like replacing the box with a filter
either build the 3.0 custom intake for 30-50 or get the iceman for 300

RE: Air filter
A K&N drop-in filter will help your engine breathe better, but you could spend about the same amount and make your own 3.0L intake as mentioned.

A used iceman can be found for roughly $125-$150 not $300, unless you want new.
