Default Purple Ronnie dies again!!

Hiya folks, been searching everywhere for answers but nothing. Been having a few issues with the car but thought I solved them.

Got SOHC 1998 auto, problems go like this:-
Starts up with no problems, idling at approx 1k which I figure is kinda ok, rev up and still no problems, put into reverse it sputters and dies, if I go from Park to Reverse it dies, if i go from Neutral to reverse it dies and if I go from drive to reverse it dies, it usually starts right up again but if i leave it idling for 10 - 15 minutes it dies and won`t start.
New coil, plugs, wires and air filter but still problem not solved.
No codes, did start with 11 but replaced cam and crank sensors.
Read on here somewhere to check ATX fluid, it was low so added to warm/hot, now when I shift into any gear it kinda bolts, like aggressive change, figured it might be torque convertor going ape but not sure, any ideas??
Other thing is could it be the fuel pump going, I can hear the pump moving when I first start but again read on hear that if theres not much fuel and the pump is going bad it will shut down, as it is I`ve about 1/4 tank but yet can still hear pump.

I`m totally confused with it all so if anyone can help I`d be really grateful

Geoff

Sounds like a throttle positioning sensor, or a idle air control sensor.

That would also be the same thing as a MAP sensor

^^^ IAC is Idle Air Control Motor and is located on the throttle body. IAT would Intake Air Temperature sensor which is combined with the MAP sensor.
