his stratus is a 1997 2.4 automatic ES.
my neon 1999 2.0 DOHC 5-speed sport 2 door.
he drilled a bunch of holes in his intake box but has a stock filter. thats the only mod to it.
my neon iscompletely stock. im going to get a CAI this weekend. living less than 15 miles away from howell automotive is gonna be kinda nice now.

you will win as long as you candrive good....the stratus's weight is alot more than a neon...the mod on his stratus is not a real mod...but becarefull if he gets a real good intake and a good exhaust he could probablytake you(2.4 stratus's love gettingair and getting air out
) but the real good mod on a stratis weight redux

on the autos ive fixed - no trans fliud came out when I pulled out the driveaxle. When i pulled it out on this thing all the gear oil dumped out of my mtx. so that was an unexpected pain. especially when i put it all back together to realize the car doesnt have a trans dipstick, you have to fill that goofy rubber plug hole thing with fliud. I filled mine with a mixture of 10w30 motor oil and lucas oil stabilizer. the car has a lot of miles. the lucas stuff was thick as glue. i used half and half.
more bad news i still heara constant clicking when i go down the road and changing the driveaxle did nothing. i got to curse at my mechanic buddy over it but not much else. i dont know what else would click like that other than a c/v joint. i would think if it was the other side i could hear it out that side too. but you cant. i know the passenger side cv joint goes in close to the driver's side though. i dunno what to do. the tires are balanced now. it all solved nothing
