well i have not done the swap myself but at the dragstrip friday i talked to a guy who had just done the same swap but he added a turbo[sm=badbadbad.gif]
he told me that the swap wasnt all that bad but there was a lot of fabricating to brackets and something about the trany brackets maybe dont really know he said that one of the hardest things that pissed him of the most was making the hood fit the motor but that was just what he said
the 98 neon w/2.4 stratus motor with turbo and street tires which i can say that he never hooked up ran a 8.70 on the 1/8 with no tunning he dropped the motor in and ran it

pcm for tranny
The tranny doesn't use a PCM...you use the neon tranny.

well if the stratus tranny needs a computer to shift it ur gonna nee to change All of the wiring its not worth that effort to me at least. a manual swap would be best if u want torque and i can tell you its the best way to go and not hard to do at all. good luck on your project.

You cannot use the 4spd trans because it gets too hot in the neon's small engine bay. Even with an auxiliary cooler it will get too hot.
