Default new rotors

just sharing some experience

i got a set of cross-drilled and slotted rotors from a company called rotorworks along with some ceramic pads. I don't have my wheels yet, but the idea here is looks only. I've already read a lot on this forum about this stuf. I needed new rotors anyway and i think stock brakes look kind of stupid behind nice wheels.

they fit perfectly and the install went flawlessly. my passenger side rotor was chewed up. the driver side one was the good looking one out of the two old ones. now they both look nice. too bad they are resting behind 14" steel wheels right now.

They look shiny....but I would think you would need to do something about the calipers as well.

You do realize those rotors will cause your pads to wear down quicker don't you?

yeah das i thought about that. so i got ceramics rated at a little higher mileage. so i figure to expect stock wear. i will def. keep an eye on it though thanks.

the calipers... i dunno what to do. can i remove them and clean them up well enough witha grinder or just sand them? the car is deep amethys or something like that. its dark metallic purple. so i was thinking white calipers. cuz you see a lot of red or color matched or w/e. so i thought white calipers would look good with my headlights and clear side markers. once i actually get wheels that you can see them through. lol

i perfer falt black paint because when the brake dust getts all over the caliper you cant really tell its dirty. That andi think it draws more attention to therotors.

Drilled and/or slotted rotors tend to wear pads down quicker. They add no real stopping power over OEM rotors but do look nicer. They also have a tendency to warp and crack quicker than OEM rotors.

No and they aren't an upgrade.
