most after maket PCM advace the spake to achive higher cylinder pressures. Too much advace in turbo cars can cause detination

Not neccesarily, you can use Megasquirt as the PCM

Some PCM's are tunable, but the neon one isn't. Thats why we have to use a MAP clamp or missing link to keep the PCM from seeing boost.

The MAP clamp cannot see the boost from the turbo, so you need something to keep it from seeing it. Thats where the MAP clamp or Missing Link come in...

a map sensorsees the voltage change from more pressure in the manifold and it only sees vaccum not boost and adjusts the air and fuel to correct the problem....
a map clamp holds the map sensor at its highest voltage but wont let it go any higher...and then hides the boost from the pcm.......basically

Is it possible to make a home made map clamp? or use resistors as if you were fooling the IAT and map for more HP only you would fool them to just make it work with Turbo? lol
