first gen srt-4 turbo tuning PLS HELP!!!!
ok i swapped to a 2.4 motor ran great before i added srt-4 turbo. It runs but runs like it's cammed out (and its not) till I rev it up then it is ok but if i rev it slow it stutters and it blows out black smoke what do I need to tune this out. it is set with stock wastegate. Please help!!!!!
im running the srt-4 fuel pump not sure what pressure its getting i know the pump can push 58 psi. stock 95 dohc pcm and i dont have a map clamp i seen something about making ur own from radioshack or something whats the deal with that. I ordered a fuel pressure regulator awhile back the comfirmation said it was delivered but I never got it and i dont have the money to get another one.
well 2 things that you will deffinately need are the map clamp and i would highly suggest putting a fuel regulator on there.....those 2 things right there could be a cause of the problem...
your stock pcm cannot be allowed to see boost or you will run into a hell of alot of problems, not to mention you wont get anything out of the turbo

To go a little more in depth, the MAP in the word MAP clamp refers to the Manifold Absoulte Pressure sensor. What it does is messures how much vac. that is in your manifold. Kinda like installing a vac gauge in your car but this one tells the computer how much air your getting. When this sensor sees boost it gets confuesed and dumps tons of fuel, Why? Becuase we all know the more air that goes into a motor the more fuel we need, so it sees all this new now pressurised air and says "oh crap I'm running super lean, I better dump tons of fuel." .(normally a SOHC mororat idel and crusing speed has about -0.5 bar of vac, in a turbo car your running + pressure or boost.)
