Default building a srt motor

okay... so i see that a complete drop out motor without the tranny is around 2 grand but modern sells a pretty nice rebuild kit with upgraded srt internals for like $1300 and i could get a 2/4 from a junkyard for around $400... what else would i need besides the 2.4 liter motor and modern rebuild kit to make it a srt 4 motor? also i know that im betaing thecrap out of another topic, but what cars exactly have the 2.4 that i could use for the srt build up??? thanks every1

No neon had the 2.4 besides the srt-4. you will have to go to a stratus or something like that to get a 2.4

Swapping in a 2.4 from a stratus would be a much simpler swap than the SRT-4 engine. But it's all up to you and what you would like to do.

Because you still use the neon PCM and wiring harness, manifolds and so on. The only thing that is really different between the 2.0 DOHC and the 2.4 DOHC is the block. The head is the same.
