Oye, you guys are a riot...it's like trying to talk to a two year old. I'm not saying the ebay Intercooler is as good as an $800 unit.....HOWEVER...an intercooler is NOT the most important piece of a turbo system and I highly doubt you would even need an intercooler that cost that much unless you were planning to make BIG power and you were running high boost.(IE... 25+psi).

If you want an extremely good flowing core to make your own intercooler out of, get an intercooler out of a Ford Powerstroke or a Isuzu NPR as those are extremely well designed cores and can handle what you through at it.

I think it's just totally stupid to spend big dollars on an intercooler if you're not making big horsepower or the car is not a purpose-built car....end of story.
