Not to be rude but Park the f uckin car if your worried about mileage. Mileage doesn't even begin to describe the **** a car has been through in its lifetime, If the fluids were kept up such as oil and anti freeze you'll be ok. Old people and ***gots talk about mileage on cars don't be either, mechanics and enthusiasts talk about performance, so which group you fit in?. If your engine blows up its not like 1million more SOHC engineshaven't been made. I do love my current engine its been through hell and I would shead a tear for it if anything ever happened to it but for now its running great and doesn't give meany **** at 128,000 with my abuse I give it every single day, andI most likelyfit into the 5% of users who abuse cars more than the Chrysler provingteam.
Change timing belt and water pump and upgrade to MLS head gasket if it doesn't allready have one and you'll never have a problem withthat engine.
the hardist thing for me was removing teh bolt under the altinator bracket. and the exhaust where the end of the cat was.....i got these megan racing headers.......not recamended it u have and intake that sits above the header becasue the pipes are in the way

on the DOHC you have to remove the alt bracket. I know i have done it. I had a pacesetter that i didnt have to weld. at least for me on the DOHC

yeah i took tin snips to the heatshield. prolly took about an hour of the removal time because the 4 bottome bolts didnt exist . . . damn dealership broke them off. least they were the last ppl to work on it so i assume it was them
If you get the Pacesetter, I'd recommend getting the armor coated header. My reg. pacesetter header developed a hole before the warranty was up. The warranty plan sucks. I might as well have got a new one for the price they would have charged me. I just ended up getting the MPX long tube ss header.
