Default rims and tires. help with size

im eventually gonna get some cheep rims at pepboys and they range from 14" up to 18" i was thinking about either the 16s or 17s. with the 16s i would get 195/45R/16 tires and with the 17s i would get 205/40R/17. would there be a problem if i put 17s on there. would there be any rubbing at all? and would it lift the car at all even if i use those 40 series low profile tires? cuz if it will then i'll just go with the 16s. also im not worried about the added weight on the 17s over the 16s. thanks.

i would go with 17's but i would prefer 215/40-17's....gives you a bit more meat to ride on and a bit wider stance....and still no rubbing at all

why call him an idiot because he wants to save some money your the idiot for saying that honestly let him do what he wants to his car. and btw who gets a muscle car with a v6 in it. why even get a charger with a v6. v8 or nothing. my 06 charger is modded and it halls *****. i get these little v6 chargers thinking they are something but they arent. so its a waste of money in my opinion. but hey its my opinion right whats that mean. anyways to what you want. 17's look nice and dont rub. never had a problem with mine. 18's over kill 16's just a little to small. 17's ftw

Go to www.tirerack.com and check prices and availablity on the different size wheel and tire combinations. Have you looked into 15" wheels? Remember the lower the profile the harsher the ride and more possibility of destroying a wheel if you hit a pothole. At this point in time I'm staying away from anything made in China.
